My Evaluation of the 'Dreams of Death' Trailer Production

This is the evalaution to my 'Dreams of Death' Media Production.

The 'Dreams of Death' Trailer

This is the finished 'Dreams of Death' Trailer. As this a trailer, it can be from 1:30-2:30 minutes long, and my trailer is 2:30, so therefore it is just in the correct time-limit to be considered a trailer. To create the Trailer I used Final Cut Pro 7 on Mac; to create the effects on the Trailer I used Magic Bullet Looks; and to create the text on the Trailer I used Motion.

New Media Project Plan Timeline Pre-Evaluation

This is the new Media Project Timeline. This is up-to-date until March 30th, and features the deadlines for the final trailer and the Evaluation. Another timeline will be made after I have presented the Evaluation and uploaded it to Blogger around the 16th April.

Music in 'Dreams of Death' Trailer

This is one of the two songs used in the 'Dreams of Death' trailer. 'Nightmare' was found on Soundcloud. I included this song in my trailer as I liked the slow piano sound. A piano is a key code and convention of the horror genre, and is primarily used to create suspense and tension among the audience.

Music in 'Dreams of Death' Trailer

This is one of the two songs used in the 'Dreams of Death' trailer. 'Nightmare on Horror Hill' was found on Soundcloud. I included this song in my trailer as I liked the suspense that it brought to the trailer as a whole. I thought that certain parts of this song would definitely fit with the mood and genre of 'Dreams of Death'. I also liked the song as I felt that it was a great piece of suspense music, and that, similar to the iconic Jaws song, it would create tension and suspense in the audience.

'Dreams of Death' Website Design

This is the design of the 'Dreams of Death' Website created on Adobe Photoshop. This will be turned into a working website using Macromedia Dreamweaver.

The image used for the website is the same image used on the Poster of 'Dreams of Death'. I have included the same logo and film names, and the same billing box that were included in the Poster. The size of this page created for the film's website is '998x560' pixels with a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (ppi). This has been chosen as this is the standard page size of film websites.

'Dreams of Death' Poster 2nd Draft

This is the second and probably final poster design that I created for the 'Dreams of Death' trailer. I created the poster on Microsoft Publisher using three different pictures;

• The picture covering the entire poster is of the main actor (me) dreaming. 
• The two other pictures are in my head and have been given a slightly transparent effect using 'Multiply' on Photoshop. This effect has been used to show that these images are visions in my dreams.

'Dreams of Death' Poster 1st Draft

This is the first poster design that I created for the 'Dreams of Death' trailer. I created the poster on Microsoft Publisher using four different pictures;

• The picture taking up most of the poster features the knife used in the filming of the trailer.
• The three pictures at the bottom of the poster are of the main actor (me) dreaming.

Poster Pictures

These are the pictures I took when filming my Media Trailer. One or more of these would be used on the Poster of the trailer.

These are shots of the 'Marylebone Lane' sign which was included in both the Poster and the Trailer

This is a picture of the alley in Marylebone that scenes of my trailer were shot in.

The fake blood on the knife was made using a mixture of:

• A ketchup bottle with a small amount of ketchup left;
• Golden Syrup;
• Corn Flour;
• Red Food Colouring;
• And was then shook in the ketchup bottle

These are shots taken of me dreaming. These were included in both the Poster and the Trailer.

The Murderess scenes at the Tables were shot on a step-ladder, recorded using a camcorder, and featured several murder lists.
